The long six-head is the one for a rectangular dining table or a kitchen island — four inches wide, nearly four feet long, hung 30 to 34 inches above the surface. The round configurations want a square or circular table: 27 inches over four seats, 33 over six. The two-layer version is over three feet across and needs a nine-foot ceiling to hold its proportions.
