A ring drawn with a curve rather than a straight edge, die-cast in aluminum and wrapped in silicone that carries the LED without a hard edge anywhere on it. The light transmission is high enough that the ring reads as a continuous line when lit, not a row of points. Two diameters, both shallow enough for an ordinary ceiling.

Sizing & placement
The 23.6-inch ring covers around 107 square feet and suits a bedroom or a table for four; the 31.5-inch reaches 215 square feet and is the one for open-plan living. Over a dining table, hang it 30 to 34 inches above the surface and keep the ring to roughly half the table width. At under eight inches deep it sits well on standard eight-foot ceilings.
