Hundreds of small shell plates overlapping on a painted metal frame, each one slightly translucent so the fixture glows rather than shines. The white reads as coastal and quiet; the gold turns the same form warm and more formal. The shells move a little in a draught, which is the whole appeal.

Sizing & placement
Just under twenty inches across and fifteen tall, with a maximum of twelve inches of chain, so this hangs close to the ceiling and suits standard eight-foot rooms. It works over a round dining table for four or in a living room corner where it can be seen at close range — the shell texture is the point and it disappears from across a large room. Both chain sections can be used together for a lower drop.
