Sizing & placement

Over a dining table or kitchen island, choose a ring roughly half to two-thirds the width of the surface and hang it 30 to 36 inches above. The 47.2-inch is a large fixture that needs an open room to carry it. The shallow profile means it hangs comfortably under a standard eight-foot ceiling. Brightness is fixed, so wire it to a dimmer if you want evening control.
