All three configurations use the full 47 inches of drop, so plan on ceilings of nine feet or more and shorten the line at installation if you have less. The 6-head suits a dining table for four, the 8-head for six; the two-layer version is thirty-four inches across and belongs over a stairwell or a double-height living room.
