Round shell discs are set in overlapping rows on a slim gold frame, each one thin enough to pass a little light through its own grain. The effect is closer to a textile than to metalwork.

Details

  • Electroplated iron frame in gold, with natural shell discs
  • E27 sockets
  • 110V
  • Dimensions: 24" diameter × 16" height, or 31" diameter × 18" height
  • Weight: 12.12 lb (24"), 17.85 lb (31")
  • Applicable space 54–108 sq ft

Sizing & placement

Both sizes have real depth, so give the piece room to be seen from the side — over a living room seating group, at the foot of a bed, or in an entryway. Allow at least seven feet of clearance beneath it where people pass. Warm bulbs suit the shell better than cool ones; the material reads flat under white light.
